Programma

Discover Izola through local stories

You can explore Izola on your own, but with a local guide you will experience it in a completely different way.

During a guided tour of the old town, an experienced guide will introduce you to stories that are easy to miss on an ordinary walk. You will discover Izola’s Venetian heritage, its fishing traditions and the small details that give the town its distinctive character.

More than just a walk past the sights

This tour is not simply a series of stops at the town’s main landmarks. You will discover Izola through its people, events, anecdotes and the everyday life of its residents, bringing the town to life in a more personal, relaxed and authentic way.

During the one-hour walk, you will stroll through the picturesque streets of Izola’s old town, past the former fishing harbour and some of the town’s most important landmarks. Along the way, you will learn how the sea, history, work and local way of life have shaped Izola over the centuries into the town we know today.

The guided tour takes place every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30, with the meeting point at TIC Izola, Sončno nabrežje 4. The price is EUR 10 per person, and a minimum of 2 participants is required for the tour to take place. The tour is available in Slovenian or English.

The guided tour is an excellent choice both for first-time visitors to Izola and for those who enjoy returning and would like to discover the town in a little more depth.
