One of the most beautiful routes begins right at the airport – the legendary Parenzana trail. This former railway line has been transformed into a safe and scenic cycling route.

From the airport, it is easy and safe to cycle to both entrances of the Sečovlje Salt Pans, one of Slovenia’s most unique natural and cultural landmarks. Riding alongside the salt fields, with their quiet canals and rich birdlife, is a truly special experience. From there, you can continue comfortably toward Portorož, with its lively promenade, cafés, and beaches, or further along the coast to the historic town of Piran, known for its narrow streets, Venetian architecture, and stunning seaside views. Along the way, take a break for an ice cream, a coffee, or enjoy an excellent lunch by the sea.

Our e-bike rental service is designed to be simple and convenient.

The rental includes:

• a modern unisex adult e-bike and
• a helmet

Upon request, we also provide a map and additional route information.

All rentals are handled directly at the airport reception desk, making it easy to start your adventure as soon as you arrive.

Bikes can be picked up from 8:30 onwards and must be returned by 17:00 on the same day.

Pick-up and drop-off always take place at the same location, without exceptions.

Payment is possible by card or cash, with a €50/per bike deposit required.

For guests wishing to explore longer, we also offer extended rental options such as 4 hours, 24 hours, 3 days, or even one week. For these options, simply contact us directly and we will be happy to assist.

Portorož Airport is easily accessible by public bus or by car, and a parking lot is available directly in front of the terminal, allowing you to safely leave your vehicle while you enjoy your cycling trip.

Before setting off, you are welcome to enjoy a coffee at our restaurant, and upon your return, reward yourself with a delicious lunch on the terrace, overlooking the airport apron.
